It’s pumpkin spice latte for everything

It’s pumpkin spice latte for everything

We’re obsessed. The season of #PSL is upon us: pumpkin spice lattes on Instagram feeds, Facebook updates, blog posts. Here at The Whale & The Rose we are not immune. Pumpkin spice, after all, smells really really good.

So what of this fascination? As a drink, pumpkin spice is warm and comforting. Perhaps there’s even a certain in-the-know coffee-house status in the PSL order—at least in certain Uggs-wearing circles. (Heck, Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte even has its own Instagram and Twitter accounts. Seriously.)

The appeal may also lie in the classic autumn love of pumpkin. Roasted pumpkin that is. Spiked with nutmeg and cinnamon. Who can argue with that? It’s sweet. Comforting. Addictive.

The scent-making world is also drinking up the trend these days. Enter Nest fragrances. Its latest Pumpkin Chai scent comes infused with those signature chai spices— cinnamon, ginger, cardamom. Delicious.

NestFragrances_PumpkinChaiAnd you can live this scent in so many ways: Pumpkin-ify your home via a Nest candle or room diffuser, or feel it and touch it when washing your hands with Nest’s Pumpkin Chai liquid soap.

Single-scent maker Demeter Fragrance Library was way ahead of the pumpkin-loving curve: It launched its Pumpkin Pie Cologne back in 2011. Making it easy to embrace your pumpkin love head to toe.

So yes, why not live in the moment? Enjoy the essence of PSL, whether in your home, on your body or for your coffee break in these few short weeks before that super-sweet, cinnamony, rich, Starbucks syrup is all gone.

Her long-held love of fragrance led her to launch The Whale & The Rose, a destination for all things perfume-related. Now, when she indulges in a crazy-expensive bottle of fragrance, she can do so guilt-free. Well almost. It’s all in the name of research after all.
