Adriana Ermter chats fragrance and globe-trotting style with New York beauty PR girl Jaime Maser of Maser Communications.
After 15 years in the public relations industry—13 spent in beauty—Maser represents brands she believes in. “Every day I get to talk to my favourite writers and editors about skincare, fragrance and wellness…as my job,” says Maser. “Does it get any better than that? After all, when you love what you do and what you’re promoting, the rest comes naturally. I’m a walking billboard for my clients, past and present.”
Based in New York City, Maser does the bulk of her business in the city that never sleeps, but she’s also logged many miles to Switzerland, home of La Prairie, the brand she represented for years. You can also find her in London and Paris at global press events and meetings. “Most recently, my husband and I took a road trip up the coast of New England, exploring all the port towns: Newport, Portland, Portsmouth,” says Maser. “It was charming.”
“India was incredibly impactful. A total assault on the senses from the moment you step foot in the Mumbai airport, but I found it all captivating,” says Maser.
La Prairie Cellular Energizing Body Spray. “It’s this light, citrus-scented body spray that acts as an instant pick me up,” Maser says. “The fragrance is not overpowering or polarizing, it’s like summer in a bottle.”
Ten years ago, an editor-friend turned Maser onto Narciso Rodriguez For Her. She keeps the subtle musky scent in her toiletry bag for travels and a rollerball version in her Rebecca Minkoff pouch for everyday use.
Maser’s self-described wild card scent: Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire Cologne Noire for “when I want to spice it up.”

“I’m the middle child and both of my sisters—who live outside Philadelphia—also wear La Prairie Cellular Energizing Body Spray,” says Maser. “I love getting a whiff of it whenever I hug them; it instantly feels like home.”
