Finally! Kenzo World, the 2016 release from the French brand, makes its way to Canadian perfume counters.
We already listed Kenzo World‘s perfume bottle as one of our favourites of 2016—but we’ve yet to smell this intriguing scent. In June of this year, we’ll finally be able to get our hands on that already-iconic bottle.
Why are we so interested in this scent? Well, for starters, it was created in collaboration with Kenzo’s Fashion Designers, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. And you’re almost guaranteed something special with those two. All the marketing revolves around the “Kenzo Eye,” so we’re really hoping the fun, quirky and vibrant nature of the brand is distilled into this perfume.
But our anticipation of this particular fragrance also has a lot to do with the incredible perfume film that was released as part of the fragrance’s marketing campaign. It might just be the best perfume video we’ve seen. No wonder—Spike Jonze directed the Kenzo World spot starring Margaret Qualley as the main character. It’s a wacky but wonderful interpretation of the brand, and it has set our hopes high for the fragrance.
