Leather, velvet, vinyl: Yves Saint Laurent embraces an irreverent and moody…
All eyes are on fashion houses when it comes to the perfumes launching in August.
The long-awaited perfume from Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele is out this month! As is Jason Wu’s first namesake fragrance and a new addition to the Prada Candy family.
The first fragrance under the direction of the brand’s Alessandro Michele, this fragrance is indeed all about the bloom. But the flower-averse should not write off this floral scent. Instead of an overly pungent bouquet, this perfume is more about a lush garden, full of all the green and earthy notes that complement the wild flowers. Created by perfumer Alberto Morillas, the fragrance has notes of jasmine, tuberose, Rangoon Creeper (found in India and slightly powdery in scent). The bottle is simple, streamlined and pink—with almost a vintage feel, while the paper packaging is a burgundy and pink floral motif, worthy of the pattern play of the house of Gucci. Our prediction? This one will be a best seller.
