Doug Wallace explores the latest in unisex fragrance, and whether…
“On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…12 drummers drumming.”
…or one bottle of the new Miu Miu eau de parfum.
This spritz, from the extraordinary little-sister Prada line, has all of the elements of a great gift. And with its pale blue pillowed glass bottle, we couldn’t help but think the flacon looks very drum-like. Perfect for the last day in our 12 Days of Christmas Series.
For the record, the floral scent combines soft and sensual blooms—jasmine, rose, lily of the valley in addition to green essences—with Akigalawood, a trademarked earthy extract of patchouli.
It’s a winner: the feminine retro-inspired bottle and a pretty wearable scent, right in line with the young fashionista who covets Miu Miu’s quirky shoes, sunglasses or multi-patterned apparel. To borrow a line from the brand: This is a scent for contradictory women: “intelligently frivolous, fearlessly fun, seriously lighthearted, feminine feminists.”
