By Deborah Fulsang Issey Miyake elevated the simple sartorial pleat…
Sexy and sultry with charm: an apt descriptor for all in the triumvirate of Yves Saint Laurent’s latest men’s scents, YSL L’Homme, La Nuit de L’Homme and the latest which launches this month, L’Homme Libre.
Libre is a woody aromatic by definition, but its heady opening of bergamot defines a more sparkling nature. It warms afterward, thanks to violet leaves, star anise and nutmeg at the heart and a base of patchouli, vetiver, resin and leather. (It’s crisp and urban, with just enough Old School essence to make it a contender as a new classic.)
The muse? Benjamin Millepied, French star of the New York City ballet and choreographer of the cult classic, Black Swan, is the man.
